Some say the best moment of summer, is their first dive in the ocean, when the water is still icy, but the sun is finally brilliant enough to warm their chilled bodies when they emerge from under the waves. For me, the best moment is my first lobster topped off by a delicious s'more. Now that says summer. But before I get to that precious moment, I love the build up. The perfectly set scene, whether it be by the shore or above the store. The small town New England feel of white picket fences with climbing roses and the beacon of the light house in the distance. Children walking back from the beach, barefoot and with ice cream cones in their small little hands. Girls in sun dresses and boys in khakis, the perfect preppy dream. White linens, with red striped plates and big silver pots filled with steaming seafood ready to be devoured accompanied by cold corona with lime. Ahh, yes, that's the moment that is best for me. So even if you fancy yourself more of a rapper than a Polo ad, I suggest you indulge in summer's finest.
