Mez Platter:
Serve your quests the ultimate in Turkish mezes: grape leaves, roasted
eggplant, sheep's milk cheese, olives, baklava.
Serving Platter: French Bull Istanbul pattern.
Tea Pot: Turkish tea is full-flavored and too strong to be served
in large cups thus it's always offered in little tulip-shaped glasses.
You can add sugar in it but no milk, and you can have it either
lighter (weaker) or darker (stronger) depending on your taste. Turkish
tea is made by pouring some very strong tea into the glass, then
cutting it with water to the desired strength. Served boiling hot
-- you have to hold the glasses by the rim to save your fingertips
from burning!

to Turkey & Central Asia. The botanical name for tulips, Tulipa,
is derived from the Turkish word "tulbend" or "turban",
considered the King of Bulbs. In the 17th century the popularity
of tulips brought a "Tulipmania" to Holland, bulbs were
sold by weight, usually while they were still in the ground and
some could cost more than a house. Eventually the tulip market crashed
as over-supply led dealers into bankruptcy and many people lost
their savings all for this beautiful flower.
