What are Cookies?

Plum Party makes use of browser cookies. We use cookies to enhance your web viewing experience. A cookie is a small identifier, similar to a license plate. It is pieces of data sent by a web server to a web browser that can later be read by that server. Cookies are used to personalize your viewing experience. They are also used to target advertising and marketing offers to your particularized interests and to avoid showing you duplicate ads. Cookies cannot be used to get data from your hard drive, your e-mail, or any other personal data about you.

Is PlumParty.com a secure site?

When you use a secure server (like the one we use), all the information you provide is translated into an unbreakable code by your Web Browser (i.e. Netscape, Internet Explorer, or Spyglass, etc.) before it ever even leaves your computer. Only the web server at the other end of the connection can decode it. (In this case, our web server.) There is actually much less chance of your credit information falling into the wrong hands than when you provide it to someone over the telephone (especially a cellular telephone!) or even through the mail. Plum Party uses a secure server, hosted by one of the country’s most prestigious hosting companies. We can forward the bills to prove it. (Just kidding of course) Credit card numbers are not stored on any computer connected to the Internet. Your credit card number is safely maintained so that it can only be physically accessed by the people processing your order. That’s as secure as we can make it. We understand this concern, being web buyers ourselves, and we take it very seriously.
