Shipping Questions and Answers

Backorder Notification

There will be occasions where the item you ordered is OUT OF STOCK/BACKORDERED. This item may not have been available either when you ordered it originally (We couldn't update the website fast enough!) or another customer's order placed ahead of yours may have depleted the available inventory. In this case, you will receive an email notifying you of the circumstances. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Many backordered items will be restocked. With that in mind, we will keep your order open and do our best to ship the item you ordered. If you would like to cancel your backorder, use our contact form to request a cancellation. You may also contact one of our customer service representatives at (800) 227-0314. Please include as much information on your order as possible, such as; your order number, items ordered, name and email address.

If I place an order, how long will it take to receive?

All orders sent via standard shipping will be received within 7 to 10 business days. Plum Party orders ship up to 48 hours after the order is placed. Our hours of operation are 9AM-5PM EST. While it may ship sooner than 48 hours, when determining your delivery timeframe please allow up to 48 hours for order processing.It is highly recommended that you check your emails for any questions or notifications from our customer service team.

If you need your order for a specific date which falls within 7 to 10 business days range, please choose 3-day express shipping. This will ensure that your order is received on time.

Personalized Party Supplies

Personalized items require a longer time frame to process and ship. It can take up to 7 business days (Not including Saturdays, Sundays or Holidays) to process personalized items BEFORE it is shipped via the shipping method selected in your order. Selecting a faster shipping service does not speed up the processing time, only the delivery time.

If you need to receive a personalized item sooner, we can request a RUSH to be applied to the order for a processing of fee of $25.00 per personalized item. The RUSH fee will be charged separately to your credit card. Requesting a RUSH will speed up your processing time, but does not speed up your shipping time, unless you have selected an express method when placing your order.

Rush service is available. The rush service turnaround is on average, 2-3 business days and the rush fee is $25.00

Rush turnaround example: if you place an order on a Thursday it would ship on Monday or Tuesday of the following week (excluding any holidays).

Please select the appropriate form of shipping according to your turnaround selection when checking out.

Note:
To request a RUSH on you personalized order, please make sure you check ‘Yes’ for RUSH turnaround time. If you need assistance, email us by using our contact form or call 800.227.0314 to speak with a representative immediately after placing your order online. Some personalized items cannot be RUSHED and are noted in the description of the product.

If I place my order express, will it go out the same day?

All express orders will ship out the same day if ordered before 12:00 PM EST. Otherwise, your order will ship the following business day. Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding holidays and weekends, this is determined by carriers. To calculate the arrival time of your package, please do not count the day the package ships.

Do you offer Saturday delivery?
Please note: not all UPS or USPS locations deliver on Saturday. If you need Saturday delivery please call and speak with a customer service representative at 800.227.0314 and we will find out is Saturday delivery is available. There is an additional fee for Saturday delivery that is based on location and weight.
Do you ship to other Countries?

Yes we do, all international orders are shipped USPS International and are calculated by an estimated weight and destination. Note: Shipping prices are subject to change. You will be contacted via email or phone if there are additional shipping fees. Your order will pend your response. It is highly recommended that you check your emails for any questions or notifications from our customer service team.

Do you require a signature for deliveries?
No we do not. Most of our customers are not home during the day, so we ship without a signature requirement. Please be sure to track your package. This helps avoid lost packages, incorrect deliveries, and further problems. If this problem occurs, Plum Party holds the right to make all decisions in regards to the package.
What courier do you use?
For all states we use UPS or USPS. APO addresses are sent via USPS and shipping time frames will vary.
Can I use my shipping account number?
Unfortunately, we only allow customers to use their shipping account number for international or bulk orders. Please call us at 800-227-0314 to see if you qualify.
Will I receive a tracking number for my package?
Yes, all tracking numbers are provided in the order status section of your account. We recommend setting up and account so that you can log in for updates on your order. If you do not set up an account you can email us by using our contact form or call 800.227.0314 to speak with a representative.
Do you ship chocolate in the summer?

Yes, we do ship chocolate in the summer. We require all customers to order chocolate products via express shipping. You can choose 2- day or overnight shipping only. If you are ordering multiple products, please keep shipping methods in mind. If the other items are needed for standard delivery, you must place a separate order from the chocolate products. If all orders are needed quickly, you can place the order together. Once you place the order, we cannot make changes.

Why didn't a charge come up for my overnight order?

Your order total is larger than $200.00. In this case, we pack the order and give you the actual cost for overnight. A Plum Party representative will call you with the cost, and you can then approve it. If you do not approve, you can change your shipping method.

How much is shipping?
Based on the weight of your items/shipment, shipping prices are subject to change. You will be contacted via email or phone with any additional shipping fees.

Standard shipping takes 7 - 10 business days (Monday-Friday, do not count weekends or holidays).

1.00 - 25.00 = $6.95
25.01 - 50.00 = $8.95
50.01 - 75.00 = $12.95
75.01 - 100.00 = $14.95

Orders $500.00 or higher may have additional shipping fees. A customer service representative will contact you with any additional charges. No order will ship without your approval.

*For Overnight and Premium delivery the order must be received by 12:00 noon e.s.t. to guarantee same day shipping.

**For Overnight orders and International orders over $200.00, extra charges will apply and pre-approval is required. All international are shipped USPS International and are calculated by an estimated weight.

How do shipping charges work with coupons and discounts?
Your shipping cost is calculated before your order discount total is applied, so you recieve your discount but pay for shipping based on the original price of the item(s) before the discount is applied.
